How to connect windows laptop to Eduroam

How to connect to Eduroam from Windows PC :

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar.
  2. Select eduroam from the list of available networks.
  3. Enter Credentials as shown in the image below.

 

4.  If automatic setup fails, you need to configure the security settings manually:

  1. Open the Control Panel by pressing Windows + R, type control and press Enter
  2. Navigate to Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Click Set up a new connection or network.
  4. Select Manually connect to a wireless network and click Next.
  5. Enter the following details:
    Network Name: eduroam
    Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
    Encryption Type: AES

    F. Click Next, then select Change connection settings.

    G. Go to the Security tab and ensure the Network authentication method is set to ‘Microsoft: Protected EAP PEAP'.

  h. Click Settings, uncheck the verify the server identity option , and check ‘Select  authentication method,’ select ‘ EAP- MSCHAP V2 ’, and click OK.

        I. Save the settings and close all windows.

        j. When prompted, enter your institution's username and password, then click OK.
